Based on the interest of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department to achieve the principle of sustainability and furtherance the role of community partnership at the level of Ras Al Khaimah. Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department in cooperation with Public Services Department and the Environmental Protection and Development Authority, organized an Initiative to clean up Al Hamra Beach. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of pollutants on the environment, especially the marine environment, as some of these pollutants may drift during the tidal process to settle on the seabed or water column, which may harm marine organisms. In addition, to protect the Emirate’s Beaches from the dangers of plastic and waste that harm both Tourism and Marine Life. The Municipality Department commended the importance of volunteering in the service of the environment, spreading and promoting environmental awareness and responsibility among members of society, the importance of preserving a natural and clean environment, and promoting environmental hygiene behavior among all society segments to encourage environmental work and instill it among all of the society. On this occasion, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department calls upon all visitors to the Emirate's beaches to maintain cleanliness and not to leave any residues or waste to keep these beaches clean and enjoyable for the visitors. At the end of the campaign, the Municipality Department distributed Appreciation Certificates to all volunteers for their valuable efforts.
