His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended a concert by the UAE National Orchestra held at the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Center,, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, under the title “The Beginning.”

Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and Sheikha Alya bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Director General of the UAE National Orchestra attended the event, alongside senior officials, music and arts enthusiasts, and members of the community.

H.H. Sheikh Saud remarked that this art event reflects the depth of Emirati culture and its rich creative heritage, noting that music and the arts play a vital role in preserving national identity and strengthening its presence within society.

His Highness highlighted the UAE National Orchestra as a valuable addition to the country’s cultural landscape, bringing orchestral music closer to audiences, highlighting Emirati identity through contemporary artistic forms, and contributing to the development of talent and professional performance standards.

Sheikh Saud Also said, “In Ras Al Khaimah we believe in the importance of culture as a pillar for life quality, so we support all initiatives that enable innovative and give audience a chance to interact with arts of all types. This will reinforce the emirate’s national, regional, and global presence in the culture and art scene.”

The concert forms part of a series of musical and artistic events organized by the UAE National Orchestra across the country to broaden cultural participation and present musical experiences inspired by national heritage and innovation.

The program opened with a performance celebrating the UAE’s deeply rooted musical heritage. This show harmonized melodies, rhythm,  and the interaction of location, memorizing the evolution of Emirati music through poetry, folk tales, collective memory, and the environment. Also, the show drew its creative elements from various traditional forms such as Taghrouda, and Ayala. It offered an authentic artistic experience that highlighted values of belonging and cohesion, while shedding light on the role of music in preserving heritage and strengthening community bonds across generations.

 Next, the Orchestra performed by the premiere of the Emirati symphony “The Beginning.” The symphony, composed by Nadim Tarbeh, blended traditional motifs with symphonic structures. Moreover, the orchestra perfectly performed a collection of international classics. The performance that appealed to the audience and resonated with them embodied the orchestra’s mission on fostering orchestral music. It is worth noting that the UAE National Orchestra is a cultural movement aimed at establishing a national orchestra originated from the Emirati musical heritage. Also, It is designed to unite the community, elevate the nation’s musical sector, and empower local artists by carving professional paths where their talents may truly resonate
