RAK Municipality organizes awareness event on school-canteens In the framework of implementing the vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to offer a safe and secured life for the residents of the Emirate; Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department, in cooperation with the Educational Zone, organized a competition for the cleanest school-canteen. Covering all education stages, 7 schools have participated in the competition and were reviewed by the Judging Committee, which is comprised of the Corporate Communications Office and Public Health Administration. The Judging Committee not only reviewed the schools, but also provided health guidance to the canteens keepers and emphasized the importance of abiding by the health regulation for food storage, while stressing the urgency of immediate reporting to the Municipality’s Public Health Administration in case of any violations from vendors. The Judging Committee offered their services to give awareness lectures  to canteen keepers about fundamentals of food safety. The competition, which is one of the initiatives by RAK Municipality Corporate Communications Office, has announced that Bin Dhaher Primary School for Boys has won the first place — Congratulations!
