Under the directives of His Excellency Munther Mohammed bin Shekar, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department and the follow up of Ms. Shaima Al Teniji Director of Public Health Administration in order to achieve strategic objective of ensuring public health and safety through the provision of tightening the control over Fish Markets in the Emirate.
Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department launched an integrated project to maintain, develop and raise the efficiency of Al Digdagah Fish Market. The project included developing the facility, upgrading its services, raising health requirements and adding new quality services through the comprehensive maintenance of the building and all components of the market, its sections and services including fish selling, cleaning and cutting areas. It also includes the replacement of floors and tiles, the implementation of internal paints for walls and ceilings, and the use of energy-efficient windows and doors to meet the requirements of Energy Efficiency.
H.E. Munther Mohammed bin Shekar stated: ‘These achievements are associated with the vision and keenness of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to support the development strategy of Ras Al Khaimah in order to contribute to developing the economy of the Emirate in particular and the country in general. Stressing the keenness of His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah in providing quality services that meet the needs of both citizens and residents. Such projects would not been accomplished without the continuous support of His Highness, which reflects the keenness of the wise leadership and the precise follow-up and directions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Executive Council.
